Northern Voice is a two-day, non-profit personal blogging and publishing conference that's held in Vancouver, Canada on May 13-14, 2011. Yes, we know, it's Friday the 13th. We'll have a good day anyway! The registration fee includes LUNCH! and a modicum of coffee and tea. We do encourage you to bring your own reusable water bottle.

This is the 7th annual incarnation of this event, which puts the personal back into personal blogging and the social into social media. Expect lots of photos, video, and other recordings of the event.*

Payment is through Paypal, but you don't need a Paypal account to pay, just a valid credit card.

REFUND POLICY: No refunds (unless you become a speaker after buying a ticket. Then we'll refund you the ticket price). That's it, it's a simple policy. :)  But if you can't attend, feel free to find someone else to take your ticket. Email us the details before May 2, 2011 to change the name on the badge. And no, we won't split up a two-day ticket into two one-day tickets - we tried that in 2009 and it ended up being more hassle for everyone than you can imagine.

ABOUT T-SHIRTS: This year, they are green. They're included in the early-bird two-day package price, or you can order separately if you missed out on getting that package. Order in advance to be sure of getting the size you want. These shirts will be a mid-weight cotton, probably from American Apparel. There will be (awesome, cool) sponsor logos on the back.

You'll be able to purchase them at the conference spontaneously if you're early enough, but not necessarily in the size you want. And last year we sold out of t-shirts in a few hours.

ABOUT THE PARTY: There will be one, of course, this year it'll be on Friday May 13th, starting around 5:00 pm. The ticket price of $25 (which is included in the special early-bird two-day package) includes food and one drink ticket (for a limited selection of drinks). It's at The Academic, 1619 West Broadway between Fir and Pine. Numbers are limited as the venue doesn't hold a lot of people.
